Our business officially opened on the 1st January 2005, bringing you quality, luxurious and creative Australian handmade soaps.
The owner, Robyn Green, and her husband, Penry, struggled to find a soap mild enough to prevent an irritating dry skin condition. In desperation Robyn found a suitable soap on the Internet, however it came from England and with shipping fees it was becoming a very expensive purchase.
In early 2004 Robyn decided she would study the feasability of making her own soap. She studied other people's recipes on the Internet, purchased books on soap making and then, armed with enough knowledge and the right ingredients set about making her first soap batch in November 2004. Two months later, after it had cured enough to be a mild soap, Robyn was ecstatic to find her soap was even better than the soap she had purchased from England.
With quality, fresh ingredients, natural oils and a superfatting ratio of 6% her soap is perfect.
A few bars from her first batch was used at home and the rest was given away to friends and family to try. Everyone came back saying it was the best soap they had ever used.
The business name was registered in January 2005, as Robyn realised she wanted to share her soap with others who were finding it difficult to find a non-drying soap for their sensitive skins.
This website was launched in June 2005, making it even easier for people to purchase these wonderful Australian handmade soaps.
